   does he have a favorite band himself?
   you can try looking on ebay for guitar picks, drumstick, etc that are signed by famous bands.
   or maybe tickets to see his favorite band in concert?
   a guitar would be a little too expensive, and he might have preferrences which you don’t know about, so i would wait on that one ;]
   but take a look in a guitar store (guitar center, music maker, other small guitar shops) and see if anything you see reminds you of him.
   or maybe a creative tshirt? that sounds kinda tacky, but if it’s funny/good he’d appreciate it =)

   U can get a guitar but those are pretty expensive. But that would be a really great gift. I think from what u said he has like an electric guitar and he has a bass gutiar. Get him an acoustic one. Song sound good with an acoustic version.http://www.guitarcenter.com/

   You may just want to get him a bunch of miscellaneous stuff… (Guitar Strings make sure their electric or accoustic depending on which type of guitar he has, guitar polish, a cloth to polish, a bunch of picks really cheap, etc) Hope this helped you… If your really willing to spend money, a Guitar Amp or a Guitar would be good.
